About Big City Wild Life
‘Big City Wild Life’ follows the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton, the most Northern facility of its kind in Alberta. It started in the founder’s garage, and is now responsible for small injured and orphaned animals for a large portion of the province. They specialize in smaller animals and get a variety of birds, squirrels, porcupines, beavers, rabbits, skunks, reptiles, bats, and even the odd fox or bobcat. Everybody has a story – the animals, the core staff, and the volunteers. Many times the animals are helped and saved, while other times tears are shed when it is in the animal’s best interest to be euthanized. These emotional and sometimes dramatic stories are weaved together with an insightful voiceover.
