This TV program reveals the complicated, rarely-explained world of egg donation at a time when fertility rates are collapsing. As women delay having children, infertile parents are desperate to find egg donors with the right traits and right ethnicity. Through the intimate stories of infertile couples searching for donors, the experience of a Hollywood actor who openly admits to having a child through egg donation, and frank confessions from a donor who is helping scores of families welcome cherished babies, the film explores the economics, emotional costs and ethics of egg donation.
