DIRECTOR/EP/WRITER

Director/EP/Writer

Daniel Ennett is a filmmaker, artist, and advocate from Amiskwacîwâskahikan (ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ, so-called Edmonton). He is a quadruple amputee working in film for over a decade, usually with his collaborator Frederick Kroetsch. They have written many things together, including weird art films. Daniel hosted three seasons of the web-series 'Invincible' and the short film 'Beneath the Surface' for TELUS. Both projects followed his adventures as an above elbow/knee quadruple amputee where he tried various adaptive sports like skiing, skydiving, and scuba diving with sharks. He worked as an artist/producer on a 35mm minute-long art film, Form and Function. Daniel made an art film called Flesh Ballet, a visual commentary on ableism. He recently finished directing seasons 1 and 2 of "PUSH" for CBC, a series that follows a cast of Disabled participants in Edmonton. He also created, co-directed, and wrote for "Pain and Offering" a short online series for TELUS that explores chronic illness and the arts in a Western Canadian context. He maintains a thriving painting and photography practice focusing on figuration and bringing light to Disabled experiences.

DIRECTOR/EP/WRITER

Frederick is an Edmonton-based filmmaker known for his eclectic work in documentary. This includes Dangerous Breed: Crime. Cons. Cats. (NBCUniversal), Queen of the Oil Patch (APTN), Last of the Fur Traders (AMI-tv).

 

He has directed numerous broadcast TV-series such as Push (CBC), Wildrose Vets (Cottage Life & APTN), and The Curse of Oak Island (History). 

 

Currently, he’s in post-production on Crip Trip, a TV-series following him and his best friend Daniel Ennett, on a gonzo road trip, (AMI-tv/TVO.) 

 

In 2024 he was nominated for a Best Lifestyle Director Canadian Screen Award. He was

runner-up for the 2023 Edmonton Film Prize for Dangerous Breed. 

 

He has a passion for cats and sci-fi that delves into the human and political dynamics of post-scarcity societies.

SHOWRUNNER

Dylan is a five time award losing writer / producer / director who has been working in the Canadian television industry for over two decades. He cut his teeth writing for the #1 series Corner Gas (CTV) before moving on to scribe some of the best-known comedies of the early aughts including Hiccups (CTV), InSecurity (CBC), and renegadepress.com (Global & APTN).

 

From there, Dylan's passion for telling unique stories led him to unscripted television, writing on documentary series such as Emergency Room: Life and Death at VGH (Knowledge Network), Yukon Gold (History), The Bachelor and Bachelorette Canada (City TV), and High Arctic Haulers (CBC). Most recently, he was showrunner on the series Dr. Savannah: Wild Rose Vet (Cottage Life & APTN) and PUSH (CBC). Crip Trip is Dylan's latest showrunning endeavor and will air on AMI and TVO in the spring of 2025. Dylan is a Capricorn with a penchant for cookie dough ice cream and dill pickle chips. He lives in Vancouver with his lovely wife and two rotten kids.

PRODUCER/ANIMATOR

Rebecca spent the year producing Crip Trip, a documentary TV-series for AMI-tv. She is an alumna of ‘Top 25’ – Banff World Media Festival/CMF’s ‘Diversity of Voices,’ NSI, Shaw Rocket Fund Fellowship, Whistler Film Festival Digital Lab, and Banff Spark Program. She wrote and directed The Secret Society, her first feature documentary about the hidden world of egg donation. She also made a follow up documentary: Cracked: The Perplexing World of Egg Donation. In 2023 she was a producer on an NBC/Universal true crime series. She worked at AMI-tv (Canada’s Disability broadcaster) as a regional producer for 3 years. Her directing highlights include broadcast documentaries Postcards from Vancouver Island, involving blindness and travel; and A Taste of the Prairies, involving blindness and cooking. Campbell has created content for children: Squeaks & Cheeks, for which she won an AMPIA ‘Rosie’ Award; and The Girl Who Talks to the Moon for CBC Kids. She produced Last of the Fur Traders for AMI-tv/TELUS which won an AMPIA ‘Rosie’ Award, and numerous short documentaries found on AMI-tv, CBC Digital, CBC Gem, and TELUS TV.

Rebecca created all the stop-motion animated Maps in Crip Trip.
